Choose Your Portal

Choosing an Origin Portal Piece is less about matching colors or filling space - It’s about resonance.

Art is meant to be felt, not "understood". It's one of the things I am passionate about; you want to FEEL good when you look at the art that is on your wall. You want it to remind you something meaningful. You want it to help elevate your space, not just "look" a specific way.

I call my paintings "portals" because to me each piece creation was truly a sort of "portal" of transformation.

Most people don’t browse art logically, they feel it first. A certain portal will pull your attention again and again. You may not know why. You don’t need to.

That response is the point.

This method is good to apply to picking art generally too, not just mine. I only want my art to be where it is wanted, I created with so much intention and I pray over each person daily who carries my art, that it brings them remembrance, feeling, or experience that they need.

1. Notice what you feel before you think

Before reading the title or description, let your eyes rest on the piece.
Does your body soften?
Does something in you feel calmer, clearer, or quietly activated?

That’s information.

Your nervous system recognizes what supports it long before your mind explains it.

2. Pay attention to repetition

If you keep returning to the same portal — scrolling back, clicking again, lingering — that’s not coincidence.

Often, the pieces we’re drawn to are mirroring something we’re ready to integrate, remember, or move toward.

Let yourself trust that pull.

3. Consider where it wants to live

Yes, I like to think of them as having their own consciousness. Each portal carries an energy that interacts with its environment.

Ask yourself:

- Do I want this space to feel more grounding or more expansive?
- Is this for rest, creativity, clarity, or transition?
- Do I want this room to feel like a sanctuary, a threshold, or a place of activation?

You don’t need exact answers — just notice what feels right. Follow the feeling.

4. Release the need to “get it right”

There is no wrong choice.

You don’t need to understand a portal for it to work with you. Many people find that the meaning of a piece unfolds over time — weeks or months after it’s already part of their space.

This art meets you where you are, and continues to move with you.

5. Trust the quiet yes

If something in you feels steady, open, or gently affirmed when you look at a portal — that’s your yes.

Origin Portals are meant to be chosen intuitively, not perfectly.

The right piece doesn’t convince you.
It feels familiar.

Lastly,

Your home is a living field.
What you place within it shapes how you rest, think, create, and evolve.

Choose the portal that feels like it belongs — not because it makes sense, but because it feels true.

That’s the one already working with you.

As a weirdo, I believe that all things are conscious (to some degree anyway). So I wish you happy communication with your new companion and lots of blessings wherever life takes you :)
