About Origin Portals

Origin Portals started as me creating art that would serve as transformation, not just expression. These paintings were channeled as means to transmute specific intentions and learn through the creation of the art. Me (the artist) is just the messenger for the way that Source/God wanted to shape the paint on the canvas.

Many artists out there express their raw feelings and experience onto the art. While that is valuable, as the expression of your feelings/experience visually can be a powerful healing experience, in my opinion it is not ideal for decoration purposes. I don't know about you, but personally I don't want a reminder or experience of negative emotions (such as anger or depression) hanging on my living room wall.

Art isn't created just to decorate a space. It carries frequency, energy, emotion, and should be used intentionally. It can also serve as a powerful reminder, anchor, or inspiration, to the person you want to become and the life you want to create.

Each piece of Origin Portals was about creating my way THROUGH what I was experiencing. TOWARDS something I wanted. Without knowing it at first, I was painting the solution to each challenge I was experiencing. It truly served as a sort of portal to help me transmute emotions, experiences, feelings, and have powerful realizations and downloads about intended topic of each painting. Which is why the name - Portals.

Each creation would start with intention of what I want to explore or create, I would then select a color palette of usually 3-5 colors, which came from a vision for each painting. Most of them ended up looking nothing like the vision I had (hence the Origin name piece - they're original to themselves, from the source/God).

Also I do not pre-mix any of my colors, there are usually 5-6 colors used (3-4 colors + white/black/gold) straight from the tube onto the canvas, I mix everything directly on the canvas.

Throughout the process I allow the painting itself to teach me.

As an example, when painting Abundance, I wanted to learn more about it; what is abundance? Is it really just material things? Do I really want what I want? Where does it all come from? I've received some powerful teachings and transformation of the word "abundance" through creation of that art, hence it being a "portal" for me for thinking of abundance in purely material terms to realizing that abundance is everywhere and it all comes from God (you can read more about it under the Abundance painting description)

I like to say these paintings make themselves. Each carries a specific frequency. Some feel grounding. Some feel expansive. Some feel soft, luminous, or quietly powerful. People often tell me it's nothing like they've seen before, because it isn't, such is the beauty of abstract art. It is one of a kind.

Years ago I used to paint logical things such as shapes, people and animals, but eventually I got bored of it because it's all the same. I wanted to create something that didn't exist, that I couldn't imagine on my own, something that had deeper meaning and presence to it than what our mind can understand.

A lot of the times I'll get so absorbed into the painting that after I lift my eyes up to look at it from farther, zoom out so to say, I am truly surprised at how it looks or how these colors and shapes got onto the canvas. I'm usually in a state of meditative trance when painting and my logical mind is wandering elsewhere, pondering on the intended transformation, receiving downloads and teachings.

I also believe that our home is like our temple. It holds our nervous system, our creativity, our rest, our future and present. FengShui knew long ago that what we place in our home matters. The art you live with should support you and feel good, it should remind you of something you want to be reminded of, not overstimulate, drain, or fade into the background.

These portals are meant to serve as a reminder of who you really are, whom you came here to be, and that God is always with you. You're never alone.

I'm also often told that my art looks alive. While I do not intend for it to develop feet in a middle of the night, I do feel a sense of presence near these pieces that I can't explain. Without this art around I feel alone, with it present, I feel less alone.

These are great for people who are sensitive to energy.
For people who want their space to feel like a sanctuary.
For people who feel deeply, intuitively, and aesthetically.
For those that want a connection to something higher.
Also for anyone who feels resonance to these shapes.

Each piece begins as an original painting and is then translated into print of a photograph taken by professionals (I've annoyed them quite a bit with trying to get the colors right and having them do multiple shoots of the same piece). I wanted my art to be available to others not just me, so maybe someone else can too feel more connected and less alone with it in the room. The prints were done with care, so the depth, movement, and emotional quality of the original painting remains intact. While the medium is physical, the intention is energetic, to bring clarity, beauty, and alignment into your life.

Origin Portals isn’t just about explaining meaning, though sometimes that can be powerful too.
It’s more about feeling resonance.

If something in you softens, opens, or recognizes itself when you look at a piece, that’s the conversation. That’s the portal working. This is true for other things in life too. Your body knows before your mind does.

Thank you for being here.
Thank you for choosing art that supports who you are becoming.
